Once the toddler is ready to walk confidently, with the Happy Birdie you can introduce the next challenge of coordination. Pushing,  along with walking, works on a multi-muscle level. It engages the larger muscles of the legs and torso to balance along with those of the arms to pull. It also engages the small hand muscles to grasp the stick.
