The Polar Permanence Tower is a set of three boxes which are graded in size hence can nest one inside the other. This toy is perfect to acquaint the growing minds with the concept of different sizes (small to big, Big to small). Made up of sustainable wood, the boxes come with 2 balls- one big size for the biggest box, 2 small size which can be used for all the three boxes.

Why Polar Permanence Tower for your child?

The biggest box works as the classic Montessori Permanence box in which the infant drops the ball from the top with a little palm effort and the ball disappears only to reappear in a few seconds from the opening below. It teaches him/her that things don’t always disappear in permanence, they can go and reappear again. The other two boxes can be stacked one on top of another and the two small balls are meant to be dropped from the top of the tower. This activity works on the fine as well as gross motor skills. Also, the time, sound and pace of these balls dropping and reappearing vary giving the infant a deep understanding of different objects behaving differently. Each time the infant tries to stack the boxes or drop the ball she/he goes through a series of permutation and coordination to perform the task completely building up problem solving skills. It’s an insightful tool to develop cause and effect comprehension as the infant performs a sustained act of drop, stay and find the reappeared ball. The repetition of in and out activity enhances the hand and eye coordination and builds concentration.

At later stages the same toy can be used to promote free play as well as cooperative play where the boxes and balls can embody the child’s imagination enlarging the creativity.
